Henry Robert Bott and Catherine Gadd

1-Henry Robert Bott was born in England, died on 9 Oct 1902 in Spreyton, Tasmania, and was buried in Latrobe, Tasmania. Henry married Catherine Gadd on 7 May 1855 in Birmingham, England. Catherine was born in 1833 in England and died in 1912 in Latrobe, Tasmania at age 79. He was a wagon driver there before coming to Port Philip, Australia with his wife and first two children on the Amonique in 1860.  They became settlers in Thirlstane in the early sixties, but when Nook opened up around 1870 they took up a grant of 100 acres and moved there, erecting a two storey house under the Badgers. He was an early representative on the Tarleton Road Trust. Later, in the mid 1880’s they moved to South Spreyton where he built an identical house to the one he left at Nook.  

2-Hannah Bott was born about 1856 in England. Hannah married William Henry Linton, son of Walsh Linton and Diana Beams, on 7 May 1877 in Ulverstone, Tasmania. William was born about 1849 and died on 5 Nov 1910 in Spreyton aged about 50. They had 14 children: William Walsh, Robert Henry, Catherine Mary, Sybil, John, Benjamin, Thomas, Jane Louisa, Ellen, Phillip, Alice May, Amy Florence, Hannah Elizabeth and Edwin Albert.

3-William Walsh Linton was born on 14 Apr 1878 in the Port Sorell District, Tasmania, died on 31 Mar 1917 in Lagnicourt, France at age 38, and was buried in no known grave. He served in the First World War.

Lucy was born on 4 Oct 1888 in Eton and died on 25 Mar 1966 in Mole Creek at age 77. They had five children: Luci, Douglas Raymond, Avadne Jane, Zaphne Muriel and Esby Winifred. 3-Rhoda Rebecca Alice How was born on 12 Oct 1896 in Deloraine, Tasmania, died on 6 Feb 1988 in Devonport at age 91, and was buried in Feb 1988 in Quoiba. Rhoda married Lewis Edwin Lucas, son of Arthur John Lucas and Sarah Fair Young, on 25 Aug 1915 in St Columbia, Mole Creek, Tasmania. Lewis was born on 5 Dec 1888 in Westbury, Tasmania, died on 16 Sep 1978 in Devonport at age 89, and was buried in Sep 1978 in Quoiba. They had eight children: Gladys Lillian Rose, Rhoda Marion Fair, Arthur John, Caroline Sarah Jane, Winfred Susan, Lewis Edwin, Rebecca Christina Jane and Alice Daphne May.
