2-James Viney was born on 22 Apr 1804 in Somerton, Somerset, England and died on 13 May 1862 in Lymington, Tasmania at age 58. James married Hannah Sansom. Hannah was born in 1804 in Hambridge, Somerset, England and died on 21 Jun 1861 in Nile at age 57. They had six children:

 

3-Elizabeth Viney was born in Mar 1838 in Pitney, Somerset, England and died on 22 Dec 1896 in Ringarooma at age 58. Elizabeth married William Culliver Clark, son of Joseph Clark and Emily Ann Culliford, on 30 Jul 1860 in Morven. William was born in 1838 in Burton Bradstock, Dorset, England and died on 19 Jan 1919 in Ringarooma at age 81. They had three children: Amelia, Eveline Mary and Ellen Sanson.

4-Amelia Viney-Clark was born on 15 Sep 1858 in Morven and died on 14 Jan 1921 in the Launceston General Hospital at age 62. Amelia married George Edward Stevens, son of Edward George Stevens and Eleanor Ann Macnamara, on 3 Jun 1880 in St. Andrews Church, Perth. George was born on 3 Sep 1860 in Rhodes, Longford, was christened on 24 Oct 1860 in Longford, Tasmania, and died on 25 Sep 1927 in Launceston, Tasmania at age 67. They had one daughter: Elise May.

5-Elise May Stevens was born on 9 May 1889 in Ringarooma and died on 17 Apr 1955 in Tasmania at age 65. Elise married Richard George Crichton, son of James Crichton and Unknown. Richard was born on 15 Feb 1886 in Ringarooma and died on 25 Sep 1969 in Ringarooma at age 83. They had one son: James Richard.

6-James Richard Crichton was born on 10 Feb 1919 in Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital, Launceston and died on 1 May 1981 at age 62. James married Winifred Ethel Redburn, daughter of Walter Redburn and Margaret Ethel May Cocker, on 14 May 1938. Winifred was born on 16 Nov 1918 in Mangana, Tasmania and died on 29 May 1980 in Scottsdale Hospital at age 61. They had three children: Malcolm, Valerie Jean and Eunice.

4-Eveline Mary Clark was born on 21 Apr 1861 in Morven and died on 8 Sep 1945 at age 84. Eveline married David Rainbow, son of Joseph Rainbow and Elizabeth Anne Bennett, on 14 Jan 1879 in Wesleyan Church, Fingal, Tasmania. David was born on 9 Nov 1848 in Hobart, Tasmania and died on 20 Feb 1929 in Winnaleah, Tasmania at age 80. They had a daughter: Hilda Maud.

5-Hilda Maud Rainbow was born on 1 Mar 1887 in Ringarooma and died on 19 Oct 1968 at age 81. Hilda married Albert Ernest Johnson, son of Lewis Johnson.  They had a son: Allan Frederick.

6-Allan Frederick Johnson was born on 19 Dec 1910 in Derby, Tasmania and died on 11 Oct 1985 at age 74. Allan married Ethel Mary Cocker, daughter of Arthur Tasman Cocker and Kathleen Mary Crothers, on 19 Dec 1940 in Church of England, Winnaleah, Tasmania. Ethel was born on 8 Jul 1920 in Scottsdale and died on 19 Mar 2000 at age 79.  Another name for Ethel was Ettie. They had five children: Marlene Mary, Melvin, Lewis Albert, Pamela Ethyl and Rodney Tasman.

4-Ellen Sanson Clark was born on 24 Jul 1864 in Morven, now Evandale and died on 30 Sep 1934 in Ringarooma, Tasmania at age 70. Ellen married Joseph Sydney Rainbow, son of Joseph Rainbow and Elizabeth Anne Bennett, on 16 Sep 1880 in Wesleyan Church, Ringarooma, Tasmania. Joseph was born on 1 Jun 1855 in Campbell Town, Tasmania and died on 5 Mar 1926 in Fingal, Tasmania at age 70. They had four children: William Joseph, Leslie James, Sydney Maurice and Claude Alexander.

5-William Joseph Rainbow was born on 25 Apr 1881 in Ringarooma.

5-Leslie James Rainbow was born on 15 Mar 1884 in Ringarooma.

5-Sydney Maurice Rainbow was born on 10 Jun 1885 in Ringarooma and died on 29 Sep 1933 in Tasmania at age 48. Sydney married Emma Eliza Salter, daughter of Joseph Thomas Salter and Phoebe Summers, on 9 Jan 1914. Emma was born in 1894 in Fingal, Tasmania.

5-Claude Alexander Rainbow was born on 15 Feb 1897 in Ringarooma, Tasmania and died in 1961 in Melbourne, Victoria at age 64. Claude married Jessie Irene Adams, daughter of William Adams and Jessie Biggs, on 12 Mar 1919 in Bradshaws Creek, Tasmania. Jessie was born in 1901 in Ringarooma, Tasmania and died in 1977 in Bray, Victoria at age 76.

2-Charles Viney was born in 1805 in Somerton, Somerset, England, died on 10 Oct 1862 in Fingal, Tasmania at age 57, and was buried in Evandale, Tasmania. Charles married Mary Ann Cundick in 1831 in England. Mary was born on 18 Oct 1806 in Somerset, England and died on 3 Aug 1872 at age 65.  

Mary had previously married Thomas Loche born 1804 in Somerset, England and died there in 1831.   They had four children:

 

Charles, Mary and children arrived in Van Diemen’s Land in 1842 on the Arab. They also brought with them, Mary's three daughters from her first marriage. Charles first worked for James Cox at Clarendon, Nile and from 1847 as a tenant farmer for Mr Cox at Fern Hill, Nile. Fern Hill was later purchased by Charles and Mary's descendants.  Charles and Mary had eleven children:

 

3-Robert Viney was born on 5 Sep 1833 in Pitney, Somerset, England and died on 14 Jul 1900 in Somerton, Fingal, Tasmania at age 66.  Robert married Harriet Pestell on 25 Apr 1859 in Fingal, Tasmania. Harriet was born on 19 Apr 1842 in Evandale, Tasmania and died on 16 May 1875 in Morven at age 33. They had ten children:

 

4-Henry George Viney Viney was born on 8 May 1864 in Fingal, Tasmania, died on 9 Jan 1938 in Launceston, Tasmania at age 73, and was buried on 10 Jan 1938 in Carr Villa Cemetery, Launceston, Tasmania. Henry married Constance Sarah Smith, daughter of Thomas Francis Smith and Rose Trainor. Constance was born on 2 Dec 1878 in Campbell Town, Tasmania, died on 1 Jul 1965 at age 86, and was buried on 3 Jul 1965 in Carr Villa Cemetery, Launceston, Tasmania. They had three children: Henry George Claude, Maud and Thomas.

5-Henry George Claude Viney was born on 3 Oct 1902 in Launceston, Tasmania and died on 9 May 1973 in Launceston, Tasmania at age 70. Henry married Vera Clara May Davies. Vera was born on 13 Nov 1908 in Campbell Town, Tasmania, died on 23 Sep 1959 in Launceston, Tasmania at age 50, and was buried on 25 Sep 1959 in Carr Villa Cemetery, Launceston, Tasmania. They had five children: George Albert, Kenneth Maxwell, Carlyle Rex, Leonard and Keith Claude.

6-George Albert Viney was born on 12 Feb 1927.

6-Kenneth Maxwell Viney was born on 9 Jun 1929 and died on 15 Jun 2006 at age 77. Kenneth married Betty Frances Arnold. Betty was born on 27 Jul 1933.

6-Carlyle Rex Viney was born on 28 Aug 1931.

6-Leonard Viney was born on 5 Feb 1933.

6-Keith Claude Viney was born on 8 Sep 1934. Keith married Zetta Cocker, daughter of Arthur Tasman Cocker and Kathleen Mary Crothers, in Launceston, Tasmania. Zetta was born on 30 May 1926 in Scottsdale and died on 6 Feb 1988 in Launceston, Tasmania at age 61.

Keith next married Doreen Elizabeth Niel. Doreen was born in 1934 in Warrnambool, Victoria.

Keith next married Margaret Blackborrow, nee Kerkham, daughter of Alfred Ernest Kerkham.

4-Adye Albert Victor Viney was born on 22 Apr 1872 in Evandale, Tasmania, died on 7 Feb 1960 in Eskleigh Home, Perth, Tasmania at age 87, and was buried on 9 Feb 1960 in Deloraine Cemetery (D101-0525). Adye married Jessie Helen Robotham on 12 Sep 1894 in Evandale, Tasmania. Jessie was born on 31 Jul 1875 in Morven and died on 13 Jan 1906 in Whitefoord Hills, Elizabeth Town at age 30.

Adye next married Sarah Walker, daughter of Robert Wilson Walker and Frances Louisa Gillam, on 30 Mar 1911 in Latrobe. Sarah was born on 24 May 1890 in Westbury, Tasmania, died on 27 Sep 1951 at age 61, and was buried on 29 Sep 1951 in Deloraine Cemetery (D101-0525).  Another name for Sarah was Sadie. They had 12 children: Douglas Adye, Jessie, Trevor, Wilson, Frances Joan, Roma Joy, Harriet Fay, David Pestle, Athol Dudley, Malcolm, Doreen Margaret and Phyllis Lorraine.

Robert Viney next married Elizabeth Sawyer. Elizabeth was born in 1841.
