Ella Mary Harvey

3-Ella Mary Harvey was born on 15 Sep 1890 in Black Hills, Osmaston, Tasmania and died on 8 Feb 1983 in Devonport at age 92.

Ella, Rosa and Maida Harvey

Ella completed her teacher training with sister Maida and was then sent to Dover on the other side of the Huon River, so she and Maida saw little of each other. Ella later taught for many years in Hobart at the Princes Street School and then the Correspondence School, until she reached retiring age. She became a much loved and highly respected teacher. 

Ella was the last of the family to die in 1983 at the age of 93, leaving behind her memories of a most gracious and upright Christian lady whom her nieces and nephews, having been somewhat over-awed by her properness when they were young, had come to dearly love and respect.
