Elizabeth Tindall Murray

Elizabeth Tindall Murray was born about 1791 in Scotland and died on 9 Oct 1874 in Hobart, Tasmania at age 73. She gave her age as 50 when marrying in 1851 but her death certificate in 1874 stated she was 83 years old.

Elizabeth married Thomas Scott on 11 Mar 1814 in South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland. Thomas was born about 1786, died in Dec 1825 in Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land at age 39, and was buried on 20 Dec 1825 in Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land.

DIED - On Sunday morning last of apoplexy, which seized him so suddenly that he immediately expired, Mr Thomas Scott of Argyle Street, much regretted by his numerous friends and acquaintance.  This gentleman had commenced tanning upon a scale of considerable importance and at great risk and expense. We consider his death a public loss.

Died – at his house in Argyle street, on the morning of Sunday 18th instant Mr. Thomas Scott, Sadler, much regretted by his numerous friends and acquaintances.

Elizabeth next married Stephen Coombs, son of James Coombs and Sarah, on 15 Mar 1831 in Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land. Stephen was born about 1780 and died on 19 Nov 1850 in Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land at age 70.

Elizabeth next married Bernard Conolan on 12 Sep 1851 in St. John's Church, New Town. Bernard was born in 1811 in Scotland and married Elizabeth's niece Mary Reid on on 29 Mar 1845. Mary died on 8 Mar 1851.
