Leslie Montague Cocker and Ida Beatrice Wright

Leslie Montague Cocker was born on 25 Mar 1893 in Whitefoord Hills, Elizabeth Town, died on 13 Apr 1922 in Repatriation Hospital Hobart at age 29, and was buried on 14 Apr 1922 in Cornelian Bay, Wesley, A244.  

Leslie married Ida Beatrice Wright, daughter of Francis Hubert Wright and Anne Maria Lohrey, on 2 Apr 1919 in the Methodist Church, St Marys. Ida was born on 12 Feb 1893 in St Marys and died on 14 Jul 1981 in St Marys at age 88.

Ida's brother, Raymond Alfred Wright†, was born on 13 Nov 1891.  He served in the First World War in the 40th Battalion, C Company and was killed in action on 31 Jan 1917. He was buried at Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery (Plot IV, Row D, Grave 18), Armentieres, France .

Leslie and Ida had two children:

Leslie served in the military, regimental number 3031. At enlistment on 9 November 1916, aged 23,  he gave his religion as Methodist, his occupation miner and his address as Cullenswood, Tasmania.  He embarked as a private from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A48 Seang Bee on 10 February 1917. He returned to Australia having served on the Western Front and was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

WEDDING BELLS. COCKER- WRIGHT The wedding was solemnised at the home of the bride's parents, St Marys, on Wednesday morning of Miss Ida, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wright and Leslie, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cocker, of Cullenswood, The ceremony was performed by Rev. N.R. Greenwood. The bride, who was given away by her father, was becomingly attired in a champagne silk, and was attended by Miss May Salter as bridesmaid. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Percy Wright as groomsman. The honeymoon will be spent in Launceston and at Burnie. The bride's travelling dress was a navy tailormade costume, with hat to match. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Cocker. will be at St. Marys.

4-Doreen May Cocker was born on 25 Sep 1920 and died on 7 Nov 1996 in St Marys at age 76. Doreen married Edgar Frederick Tapp, son of Basil Edgar Tapp and Alice Mary Ellis, on 24 Dec 1942 in Church of England, Cullenswood, Tasmania. Edgar was born on 30 Dec 1917 and died on 23 Nov 1977 in St Marys at age 59. They had two children: Gregory John and Maureen Lesley. He served in World War 2.

5-Gregory John Tapp was born on 6 Aug 1944 in Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital, Launceston. Gregory married Wendy Lois Vincent on 9 Oct 1965. Wendy was born on 13 Aug 1944, died on 5 Sep 2003 at age 59, and was buried in Carr Villa Cemetery, Launceston, Tasmania. They had two children: Amanda and Janice.

6-Amanda Tapp was born on 9 Jul 1966. Amanda married Paul Bosworth on 19 Sep 1987. Paul was born on 7 Feb 1963. They had one son: Ryan.

7-Ryan Bosworth was born on 10 Aug 1990.

6-Janice Tapp was born on 9 Sep 1968. Janice married Jamie (Jack) Viney on 27 Nov 2004. Jamie was born on 29 Apr 1973. They had one son: Jacob Charles.

7-Jacob Charles Viney was born on 23 Aug 2001 in St Marys.

Gregory next married Cheryl Ann McCarthy on 1 Dec 1989 in Southport Queensland. Cheryl was born on 14 Feb 1949 in St  Marys.

5-Maureen Lesley Tapp was born on 10 Aug 1947 in Launceston. Maureen married John Bryant Bushing, son of Harold Basil Bushing and Dulcia Martha Morris, on 7 Jan 1967 in Holy Trinity Church, St Marys, Tasmania. John was born on 11 Apr 1944 in St Marys District Hospital. They had three children: Christopher John, Annette Maree and Rodney Paul.

6-Christopher John Bushing was born on 15 Oct 1967. Christopher married Vanessa Jane Burr on 15 Oct 1994 in North East Park, Scottsdale. Vanessa was born on 15 Aug 1971. They had two children: Amelia Jayne and Caleb Andrew.

7-Amelia Jayne Bushing was born on 27 Mar 1995 in Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital, Launceston.

7-Caleb Andrew Bushing was born on 18 Mar 1999 in Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital, Launceston.

6-Annette Maree Bushing was born on 29 Jan 1969. Annette married Jeffery George Willing on 26 Feb 1994 in Burwood, Launceston. Jeffery was born on 14 Sep 1969.

6-Rodney Paul Bushing was born on 19 Feb 1971 in Falmouth, Tasmania. Rodney married Alison Leanne Kremmo on 19 Nov 1994 in Glencoe, Falmouth, Tasmania. Alison was born on 13 Mar 1973. They had three children: Jade Bradley (Stillborn), Taylah Lee and Jacob Alan.

7-Jade Bradley (Stillborn) Bushing was born on 8 Jan 1995.

7-Taylah Lee Bushing was born on 8 May 1996 in Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital, Launceston.

7-Jacob Alan Bushing was born on 28 Jul 1997 in Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital, Launceston.
